The holidays are, by most accounts, the absolute best time to get away with eating exorbitant amounts of cookies, cake, cheese, and other junk foods without really feeling bad about it.
But despite this get-fat-free pass, Matthew Perry was spotted carrying around some sort of health milkshake on Christmas Eve, during an errand in West Hollywood.

Here’s a “new” behind the scenes picture of Matthew Perry and Zac Efron. Click the picture for a bigger version!
If you’re in the mood for a little “We Are the World” kind of joy today – but intentionally funnier – check out Emerson alum Dan Finnerty’s band’s latest video on YouTube. The Dan Band tune, “Please Don’t Bomb Nobody This Holiday,” features tons of singing celebs, including Christina Applegate, Macy Gray, Sheryl Crow, a shirtless Neil Patrick Harris, Meg Ryan, Matthew Perry, Janeane Garofalo, Ricki Lake, Christopher Guest, and Cheri Oteri. Finnerty’s wife, actress Kathy Najimy, also joins in. Our fave line? “The world needs a big fat spankin’.” Ho ho ho.
John Bennett Perry joked that he goes to his mailbox in Ojai every day “like it’s Christmas,” hoping it will every so often contain a residual check for his past acting roles.
Once in a great while, the residual checks — money he and other actors get for every rerun or reuse of shows they were in — run into “the thousands.” Right now, he gets $100 every time that episode of “Friends” he did with his son, Matthew Perry, airs.
But residuals decrease over time. Perry once received a check for 7 cents for a 1992 episode of the TV show “Silk Stalkings.” That topped the check for 1 cent he got for a 1987 TV movie called “The Last Fling.”
“That one for a penny, I should get it framed,” Perry said, chuckling. He swears there’s a bar in Los Angeles that gives actors a free drink if they bring in a residual check that’s less than $1. The place, Perry said, is littered with checks on the walls.
